Last week, CEO Brandon You and Rose Price, VP of market research and media relations, were at Concordia to kick off our Brand The Campus Campaign. It was a success and we already have partial survey results.

We asked students what corporate sponsor should win branding rights to the Hall Building and so far it looks like they are opting for simplicity of branding over existing sponsorship. Halls is in the lead, currently accounting for 40% of the vote, followed by Starbucks at 26.7%.
Given the influence Starbucks already has on campus thanks to a deal with Chartwells, one might think they would be the natural choice. However, the prospect of changing the name of the building by simply adding an “s” seems too good a prospect to pass up.
Upstart Labatt is in 3rd place with 20% of the vote. Will they challenge the Molson dominance on campus? Only time will tell. Old faithful McDonald’s is fourth, but first in our hearts and some were even bold enough to say “none of the above!” Who knows what corporation they want.

The real surprise in this survey comes in the seventh question. Respondents were asked who should win this year’s Pub d’Or Award. We thought Concordia president Judith Woodsworth would be a shoe-in, given her recent statements about privatization. Unfortunately, she is currently losing to a cartoon duck.
If you want to reverse this trend and help PubPartout continue to brand the campus, you can now take the survey yourself online here. It’s only 10 questions, so you don’t really have an excuse.
Or, you can take it in person, play games and have the chance to be branded yourself. That’s right, PubPartout is coming back to Concordia today! We’ll be on the second floor of the Hall Building from 2pm through 5pm, so come join us!
We’re so excited that we even bought ad space for this event on our own site:
